The department of cardiology offers consultation, electrocardiography, echocardiography, computerised treadmill test, spirometry, Holter monitoring, pacemaker implantation. We have a comprehensive cardiac master check up which includes consultation, electrocardiography, echocardiography, computerised treadmill, blood lipid profile, blood sugar, serum creatinine and Doppler study of intima media thickness, coronary CT angiography and coronary calcium score for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease risk stratification. Our echocardiography machine has additional feature of speckled tracking which will enable us to find the global longitudinal strain for accuracy of ventricular functioning. Our treadmill machine is a wireless hassle free state of the art machine which can take a load upto 180 kg and will help in the detection of coronary artery disease. Our 3 lead Holter will help us to detect supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation and flutter, pacemaker autodetection and analysis. Our department will treat all cardiovascular emergencies like myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism/ thrombosis, tachyarrythmias like atrial fibrilllation/flutter, avrt/avnrt, ventricular tachycardia, Brady arrhythmias like heart blocks which will be managed in the well equipped ICU. We are planning for a cathlab for cardiac interventions and a dedicated coronary care unit in near future.
